If you have a child who loves Minecraft, then chances are, they love LEGO too. Minecraft and LEGO have so much in common! They are both totally open ended, they both allow building creative structures, and people create awe-inspiring builds with both LEGO and Minecraft.

For kids who love Minecraft and LEGO, you should check out Minecraft LEGO sets. With 23 unique sets and counting, Minecraft LEGO offers a diverse range of scene options and several skill levels. In this blogpost, we’ll break down the biggest and best sets. We hope this guide offers you some ideas on which set might be best for your child!

The Newest Minecraft LEGO Set

If you have bought Minecraft LEGO sets in the past, you might be looking for new releases. The two newest sets from LEGO as of this writing (February 2021) are The Pig House and The Coral Reef. The Pig House is a relatively large set, coming in at 490 pieces and is designed for ages 8+. The Coral Reef is only 92 pieces, and the recommended age is 7+, although we think your younger children could handle this little one.

The Biggest Minecraft LEGO Set

Bigger is better, right? Why not keep your child occupied building the biggest Minecraft LEGO set they can! The biggest set Minecraft LEGO has released so far is called The Creeper Mine. It has 834 pieces and it comes with a remarkably large number of diverse parts. It contains a creeper and a husk (a type of Zombie), Steve, a blacksmith, a cow, and a bat. In terms of the mine itself, it has a rail track, minecart, and explosives - and of course, a really large creeper at the entrance. Check it out and if your child likes a challenge, give it a buy!

The Best Minecraft LEGO Set

It’s tough to choose just one Minecraft LEGO set that we like the best. It depends on a lot of factors, including your child’s age, experience with LEGO, and their favorite parts of Minecraft. For that reason, you should definitely take a look at all of the options and decide for yourself which one is best.

If you want my opinion, I love the Abandoned Mine set, because exploring abandoned mines is one of the first dungeons your child will explore in the game. That opens up your child to a lot of imaginative adventures and a possible scene for playing with other toys.

Another set that I really like is The Redstone Battle. I like this one because you get to create good and bad characters, which opens the door for a lot of fun and imaginative battles. It goes way beyond the typical “scene” and allows your child to explore and have their own adventure.

Conclusion

Those are my thoughts - but ultimately, Minecraft LEGO has released a lot of awesome options, and they keep coming out with new stuff. Best of luck in searching for the best fit for your child!
